sunflowerListenelement 2Helianthus annuus. A distinction is made between four types of sunflower, which were bred for the different types of use: the oil type with extra many tubular flowers, the type of feed with very many leaves, the ornamental type with multiple inflorescences, and the type of food with large and loose-fitting cores. Furthermore, there are now breeds that are immune to certain diseases, especially against fungi. The different types of sunflower already anticipate their possible uses. The use as food either pure or in baked goods and salads or roasted as a coffee substitute should be bekannt.Sonnenblumenkern contain over 90% of unsaturated fatty acids, vitamins A, B, E and F, carotene, calcium, iodine and magnesium and are therefore very healthy.

RapeseedListenelement 3Brassica napus L. .. Per hectare can be obtained in about 1,500 liters of rapeseed oil. Rapeseed oil is used in small parts as salad and frying oil. Larger portions of rapeseed oil are used in the production of margarine, mayonnaise, lubricants and cosmetics. In addition, rapeseed oil is largely esterified (rapeseed oil methyl ester RME) and used as biodiesel. As a so-called "renewable raw material", rapeseed biodiesel is subsidized by the state. Rapeseed oil has a calorific value of about 900kcal / 100g and contains about 48% oleic acid, 22% linolenic acid and sterols. The remains of the rapeseed ("rape cake") after pressing are used as protein-rich animal feed.

soybeansListenelement 4Glycine max. The soybean belongs to the legumes (Fabacea) and has been around since 1500 BC. Cultivated as a crop. Today, it is grown to around 6% of global agricultural land, making it one of the most important oil crops. Soybeans contain 20 percent oil and 37 percent protein. Unlike most other crops, protein quality is comparable to that of animal protein. The majority of soybean is used for soybean oil production, mainly as food. The remaining soya cake (about 80 percent of the mass) is fed to 98 percent of the animal production due to the high protein content. The soybean is also rich in so-called phytoestrogens

pumpkin seedsCucurbita pepo. The seeds of various cultivars such as the soft-shelled Styrian oil pumpkin (Cucurbita pepo var. Styriaca) contain valuable phytosterols ("plant hormones") such as delta-7-sterols. In addition, there are tocopherols such as vitamin E, rare amino acids such as the worm-effective cucurbitin and carotenoids, salicylic acid and silica. The trace elements zinc, selenium, manganese and copper are also in the seeds of this medicinal plant. The gourd fat oil contains up to 64% linoleic acid.
-
linseedListenelement 1Linum usitatissimum. The yellow to brown seeds of the common linen have a slightly nutty taste and contain about 40% fat. The largest share of this is about 50% of the polyunsaturated omega-3 fatty acid alpha-linolenic acid. Thus, linseed oil has the highest concentration of omega-3 fatty acids among all vegetable oils. Furthermore, linoleic acid, oleic acid, mucilage, proteins, cyanogenic glycosides (especially linamarin), lignan glycosides, phosphatides and triterpenes are included. In addition, there are the vitamins B1, B2, B6 and E and nicotinic acid, folic acid and pantothenic acid.

LeindottersaatLEINDOTTER An oil plant with low demands on location, nutrient and water supply. Due to the short growing season and the high competitive power against weeds, Leindotter is ideal as a catch crop.
